Join our one-time workshop in Barrie and unpack the myths, science, and real-life application of gentle parenting.
Social media has turned “gentle parenting” into a punchline. You’ve seen the comments: “How’s that gentle parenting working out for you?” or “This is why kids don’t respect their parents anymore.”
But what if we’ve misunderstood the entire concept?
At VOX Mental Health, we’re offering a one-time, in-person workshop this June to explore the truth behind the “gentle parenting” debate — and why it’s so much more than soft tones and skipped consequences.
What’s the Problem With the Buzzword?
“Gentle parenting” is often confused with permissiveness — a lack of boundaries, consequences, or structure. But when done right, it’s not about avoiding discipline. It’s about how we deliver it: with warmth, consistency, and emotional presence. In the research world, this is known as authoritative parenting — and it’s consistently associated with the best outcomes for kids, from mental health to academic success.
What You’ll Learn in the Workshop
We’ll explore:
This is not a space for judgment or “shoulds.” It’s a space for reflection, clarity, and equipping you with evidence-based knowledge — not just parenting opinions.
