Sahar Khoshchereh

Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist

SSW, BA Sociology, BSW, MSW, RSW

Sahar Khoshchereh is a Registered Social Worker who believes in creating a compassionate and collaborative space where clients can feel seen, heard and supported. Her approach isn't about quick fixes or a one-size-fits-all approach. It's about working together to make sense of what is being carried and building a life that feels more aligned and authentic.

She holds both a Master's of Social Work and an Honours Bachelor of Social Work from Lakehead University, Bachelor of Arts - Sociology from Wilfrid Laurier University, as well as a Social Service Worker diploma from Seneca College. Sahar's work is grounded in evidence-based practice while honouring the complexity and individuality of each person's story.

Sahar offers specialized support for individuals navigating eating disorders. She has completed advanced training in Family-Based Treatment (FBT) and Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT-E), two leading research supported approaches in this area. Her focus is on helping individuals build a more balanced and compassionate relationship with food, body-image and emotions while gently addressing the underlying patterns that contribute to disordered eating.

Beyond her work with eating disorders, Sahar supports clients experiencing emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, life transitions, caregiver burnout and relationship challenges. Her practice draws from DBT, CBT, solution-focused, strength-based and relational approaches offered through a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens.

At the heart of Sahar's work is a belief in the power of connection - to self, body and community. She views therapy as a space where healing can be nurtured through care and intention, as well as where clients can be supported in moving toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for them.
