SSW, BSW, MSW Student Therapist

Denise is a Master of Social Work (University of Toronto) student completing her practicum at VOX Mental Health and offering reduced-fee therapy through our Affordable Therapy Program. She brings over 15 years of experience supporting children, youth, and families in a variety of settings, including child protection, transitional youth programs, residential care, and homelessness services.

Denise’s work has been deeply shaped by her engagement with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities and by honouring the 7 Grandfather Teachings in her practice. She is passionate about walking alongside clients as they navigate life’s challenges, offering a safe, judgment-free space to process, heal, and grow.

Denise combines her extensive frontline experience with a strong academic foundation — holding a Bachelor of Social Work (Advanced Standing, Toronto Metropolitan University/Ryerson University) and a Social Service Worker Diploma (Honours, Sir Sandford Fleming College). She is committed to meeting clients where they are, empowering them to discover their strengths, and supporting meaningful change.
