Bilikis Adebayo is a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist who holds a BSc in Psychology from Redeemer’s University, a postgraduate certificate in Addictions and Mental Health Studies from Durham College, and a Master of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Over the past ten years, she has gained extensive experience across community mental health, hospital social work, crisis response, developmental support services, and substance-use support services.

She works with clients from a non-judgmental, client-centred, and collaborative approach, utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities to support both short- and long-term goals toward wellness and recovery.

Bilikis practices from a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, strength-based, and self-empowerment perspective. She has supported individuals and families with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, challenging relationships, conflict resolution, self-esteem, self-harm, stress management, life transitions, and substance use.

Her professional practice includes individual counselling, system navigation, case management, and psycho-educational group facilitation, with experience in concurrent disorders and dual diagnosis. Her specialties include:

Originally from Nigeria, Bilikis is the mother of two young boys and identifies as Christian. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her children, volunteering at a crisis centre, and participating in church activities, which have been personally meaningful and healing.
